About me

Hey there! My name is Joakim Sommar, a soon-to-be 30 year old designer, from Sweden.

To keep a long story short, here's a few things that led to my career as a designer:

Started playing around with design in digital softwares when I was 10 years old
Digital design & communication in high school
Different kinds of jobs that demanded no special skills motivated me to study more..
Which led to a bachelor in Graphic Design & Technology
And so on.. until I became a web designer and eventually what I am now – a UX/UI designer!

During my free time I do a lot of different things, apart from digital design I also love painting on canvases. If you'd like to see more of my creative side, check out my instagram feed @artbysommar.

I love dogs

Especially my own dog, that me and my partner got in the spring of 2023.

A spanish water dog who has a super strong personality. Sometimes when he doesn't get what he wants, he simply walks away – lies down – and sigh very loudly.

I also love motorcycles

And during the same year as I got my dog, I also managed to obtain the license and buy my first motorcycle. Super happy!
